Education is ONLY for “American Citizens”?
Today, I met an ASSembly member Dan Logue, one of two ASSembly members (the other one is Steve Knight) in California who are against AB540 legislation. Worst thing was that he was our Community College General Assembly Conference Keynote speaker!
I was shocked by what he said during the General Assembly session. He said, “Education is only for American CITIZENS.” He continued, “We cannot afford to lose any more money paying for the education of illegal immigrants.”
I’m like, WHAT?
Hold up for a second … Did I hear that right?
I was so offended that I was literally about to go walk up to the stage and take care of my business.
No doubt about that he ruined my weekend, but at same time, it was very interesting to meet someone who is strongly against AB540 legislation (he actually introduced a bill against AB540). After all, I decided to listen more to the other side of arguments so that I can be ready and prepared to defend my rights and MY EDUCATION.
This is messed up in multiple ways.

I also think you should take your complaints to the community college President. Yes, dumbass has a right to free speech but let your college President know that you and other undocumented students really don’t appreciate it.

Logue is a racist. He should not have been allowed at the conference.
